I know some of these are no longer in effect. As a Pennsylvania resident, I have purchased beer and liquor without my wife's consent - written or otherwise.
However, it IS true that only the state-owned stores can sell liquor to retail customers. Also, only the state can transport alcohol across the border for retail sales. I can't order wine online, for example - I must have the state order it for me.
Well, as a woman, if I must stand five foot back from any bar, guess every round is on you, then?
