A while back I did this post about the turtle in my yard laying eggs. This morning my wife caught this ...gaggle? of wild turkeys passing through the yard.
Honestly I'm not sure about the hunting. I know that it used to be legal around here, but it's much more thickly settled now. Perhaps with a bow and arrow.
No pear trees... We DID have a couple peach trees though. My wife had planted some peach pits when she was a kid, then ten years later, they noticed peaches growing on a couple of trees they had never really paid attention to before...
I had to cut one down though, it was too close to the garage, and the roots would have caused damage to the foundation.
Can you hunt them where you live?
ReplyDeleteHmm, I'm thinking gaggle of geese and flock of turkeys, but I could be wrong.

ReplyDeleteYes, your post got me singing Christmas songs!

As far partridges, I'm sure they're out there.
What a sight, to have them wandering by like that!
ReplyDeleteI like your turtle photos too by the way, no idea though what species it is!
